About Us

Dr. Audra Tousaint, PhD, LPC-S (LA), LCPC (IL)

Dr. Audra Tousaint is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, professor, private practice founder, and clinical expert in neurodivergence and Black women’s mental health. Licensed in Illinois and Louisiana, she brings over 14 years of experience across psychiatric, school, community, and private practice settings, including 8 years as a private practice owner.

Her clinical work centers high-achieving Black women navigating ADHD, autism, anxiety, burnout, emotional overwhelm, and the invisible weight of being “the strong one.” Her work is culturally responsive, neurodivergence-affirming, and rooted in helping women move from over functioning and survival mode into regulation, self-trust, and sustainable success.

As a professor and clinical supervisor, Dr. Tousaint has spent over 8 years teaching graduate-level master’s students and training emerging clinicians in multicultural care, ethical practice, and culturally grounded clinical work. Her approach blends clinical depth, cultural insight, psychoeducation, and real-life strategy to create a therapy space where Black women feel deeply seen, supported, and empowered.

Anthony McClain, LPC

One of my favorite quotes is "the absence of illness is not wellness." It reminds us that feeling better isn't solely about healing from our past or suppressing the feelings that ail us, but that wellness is an active and intentional process that requires a commitment to self. What practices are we putting in place to sustain better? Are we working toward something meaningful, or simply running from discomfort? Most importantly, do we have the grace and self compassion necessary to get us where we are going? Let’s work through the hard together and move toward a life where wellness becomes the foundation for your thriving.

My aim has always been to empower people to be the best versions of themselves through deep listening, collaboration, goal setting, and leaning on the strengths of my clients and our relationship. My therapeutic approach is rooted in the evidence-based theories of PCT, CBT, SFT, positive psychology, and psychodynamic therapy.

Therapy can be more than where we go to stay afloat. It can and should be where we go to self-actualize. I look forward to hearing your story, walking alongside you during our journey, and celebrating your successes.
