We are undergoing a brand change. Black Therapy & Co coming soon!!!
A Tousaint Counseling Consulting provides culturally responsive, neurodivergence-affirming mental health care for clients navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, trauma, grief, identity concerns, relationship stress, and major life transitions.
Our clinical work is rooted in more than 14 years of experience across private practice, psychiatric, school, community, and academic settings. We understand that healing is shaped by the full context of a person’s life, including culture, family systems, race, gender, faith, achievement, stress, and lived experience.
We are especially committed to supporting Black women, high-achieving professionals, students, caregivers, cycle-breakers, and individuals who are often expected to carry more than they are given space to process.
Our treatment approach is individualized, affirming, and clinically grounded. We help clients better understand their patterns, regulate their emotions, strengthen self-trust, and build healthier relationships with themselves and others.
We do not believe therapy should be one-size-fits-all. Our work integrates evidence-based practices, multicultural awareness, neurodivergence-affirming care, and deep respect for each client’s lived experience. Whether you are managing burnout, masking, perfectionism, emotional overwhelm, family expectations, trauma responses, or the pressure to always appear strong, our goal is to help you feel supported, understood, and equipped with tools that fit your life.
Our promise is to provide a therapeutic space where you can be seen fully and treated with dignity, honesty, and care. We are committed to walking alongside you as you move toward healing, clarity, emotional regulation, and sustainable growth.
At A Tousaint Counseling Consulting, we believe healing is not about becoming someone else. It is about reconnecting with yourself, understanding your needs, and creating a life that feels more aligned, supported, and whole.
We provide neurodivergence-affirming care for clients navigating ADHD, autism, executive functioning challenges, sensory overwhelm, masking, burnout, emotional intensity, rejection sensitivity, and the pressure to function in spaces that may not fully understand their needs.
Our approach does not focus on “fixing” who you are. Instead, we help you better understand your brain, honor your capacity, strengthen supportive systems, and build a life that works with you rather than against you.
Anxiety and depression can show up in many ways, including overthinking, sadness, irritability, low motivation, fatigue, perfectionism, emotional shutdown, or feeling disconnected from yourself and others.
We help clients understand what they are experiencing, identify patterns that may be contributing to distress, and develop tools for emotional regulation, self-compassion, clarity, and sustainable coping.
We specialize in supporting high-achieving Black women who are carrying a heavy load. This may include professionals, students, caregivers, entrepreneurs, oldest daughters, cycle-breakers, and women who are often relied on by everyone else.
Therapy can support you in moving from overfunctioning, masking, burnout, and survival mode into clarity, regulation, self-trust, boundaries, and sustainable success.
Our relationships often reveal the patterns we learned early in life. Therapy can help clients explore attachment wounds, communication patterns, boundaries, trust, intimacy, family roles, and relational stress.
We support individuals and couples who want to better understand themselves, strengthen emotional connection, and create healthier ways of relating to others.
Family transitions, separation, and co-parenting concerns can create emotional stress for both caregivers and children. We provide supportive, child-centered services that help families improve communication, reduce conflict, strengthen emotional regulation, and create healthier family patterns during difficult transitions.
We provide culturally responsive therapy that recognizes the impact of race, culture, family systems, faith, gender, community expectations, racism, intergenerational stress, and the pressure to be strong.
As a Black woman-owned practice, we are especially committed to creating a space where Black clients can feel seen, respected, and supported without needing to over-explain their lived experience.
Trauma and grief can impact the mind, body, relationships, identity, and sense of safety. Many clients seek therapy after painful experiences, major transitions, chronic stress, loss, family wounds, or prolonged survival-mode functioning.
We provide a supportive space to process difficult experiences, strengthen emotional safety, and move toward healing at a pace that respects your readiness and lived experience.
